Annapurna Yojana verification – how it works

After you apply for Annapurna Yojana (Mukhyamantri Annapurna Bhandar), your case usually goes through verification or enquiry before approval. Many people search for “Annapurna Yojana verification online.” The safe place to see your own progress is the official West Bengal Social Registry citizen portal—not a private website asking for Aadhaar or OTP.

What verification means

Published scheme notifications describe enquiry by authorised government officials. In rural areas, Block Development Officers (BDOs) may recommend eligible lists; in urban areas Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) may play a similar role; Kolkata Municipal Corporation areas may follow local authorised officers. Exact on-screen labels can differ.

Verification answers: “Did officials confirm the details in your application?” It is not the same as payment credited to your bank.

How to check verification status safely

  1. Open only https://socialregistry.wb.gov.in/citizen/ in your browser.
  2. Log in with the district and registered mobile used during application. Complete OTP on that official site only.
  3. Open application / track status / dashboard options shown on the live portal.
  4. Note the exact status text (for example Under Process, Under Enquiry, Approved, or Rejected—wording may vary).
  5. If rejected, read any reason shown and use our application-rejected guide. If approved but unpaid, use the payment guides.

If a third-party page asks you to “verify online” with Aadhaar + OTP outside .gov.in, stop. That is a common fraud pattern.

What Annapurna Check does not do

  • We do not run a verification form on this website
  • We do not accept Aadhaar, OTP, or application IDs for lookup
  • We do not publish district camp lists that we cannot verify live
  • We explain the official path and point you to socialregistry.wb.gov.in

Still waiting after many days? Keep screenshots of portal status and dates. Avoid filing duplicate applications unless the official portal clearly offers a correction or resubmit path.

For payment after approval, see payment status and payment-not-received guides. For who can apply, see eligibility.
